Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about Indonesian visas

What is the difference between VoA and e-VoA?

VoA (Visa on Arrival) is purchased directly at the airport upon arrival. e-VoA is the electronic version that can be purchased online before departure through evisa.imigrasi.go.id, making it more convenient with no queuing required.

How long does visa processing take?

Processing time averages 3-7 business days depending on visa type. VoA/e-VoA can be faster (1-3 days), while KITAS/ITAS may take 2-4 weeks.

Can the visa be extended?

It depends on the visa type. B1 (VoA) can be extended once (60 days total). C1/C2 can be extended twice (180 days total). E33G (Digital Nomad) cannot be extended and requires a new application.

Which countries are eligible for VoA?

Approximately 97 countries are eligible for VoA including USA, UK, EU countries, Australia, Japan, South Korea, China, and all ASEAN countries. 15 other countries get a visa exemption of up to 30 days.

Do I need to visit the immigration office in person?

For most short-term visas, the process can be done online without visiting in person. For KITAS/ITAS or VoA extension (as of June 2025), an in-person visit to the immigration office is required.

How much does your visa service cost?

Our service fee is separate from the official visa fee. Contact us for a quote based on the visa type you need. Initial consultation is FREE.

What are the consequences of overstaying in Indonesia?

A fine of IDR 1,000,000 per day, detention by immigration authorities, deportation, and possible blacklisting from Indonesia. Always extend your visa before it expires.

Can a Digital Nomad Visa (E33G) holder work for Indonesian companies?

No. The E33G visa only permits working for companies outside Indonesia (remote work). Working for Indonesian companies requires KITAS/work permit.

Can I apply for a visa if I'm already in Indonesia?

For some visa types, applications must be made from outside Indonesia (through embassies). However, visa extensions can be handled within Indonesia. Contact us for more information.
